A new up-and-coming meat market in Tarbaro, NC came to us to design their website. When Big Bones Meat Market approached us, they were just about to open their doors to the public. As a brand new venture, they asked us to craft an engaging website that would serve as their digital storefront. The main challenge? Time was of the essence - they needed a homepage, and they needed it quick.
The recipe was simple - we borrowed the palette and typography from their logo and carried these elements throughout the web design. The continuity of style and color fostered a sense of cohesion between their offline and online branding.
We teamed up with our client and had some great conversations going over his ideas and vision for the design and functionality of his website. We bounced ideas off each other and offered our expert opinion of what may work best for his needs and his preferences.
It was a collaborative process where we combined his aspirations with our expertise, ensuring that the final design truly captured his unique vision while incorporating the best practices we know.
Our client sent us a long vision statement to use on the page. While this would work, it was quite the paragraph for one section. Much like a butcher, we took the “whole cow” of the content and broke it down into digestible cuts, spreading it out across different sections on the homepage.
We ended up with a whole page that told their story effectively, carved out of a single paragraph.
An aspect we love to pay attention to is the favicon. Taking small elements from their logo, we designed a favicon that's as distinctive as their brand. It's a small detail, but it reinforces brand recognition and ties the whole digital experience neatly together.
In the end, Big Bone's Meat Market was equipped with a visually appealing and functional website that echoed their brand's vibe and values, ready to cater to their customers from the get-go.
